Nearly a year after Watauga County adopted a Citizen's Plan to guide overall growth strategies of the future, an important component of it is coming back to the table.
The Watauga County Board of Commissioners are holding a public hearing Tuesday on the draft of the Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Plan, which was compiled by the consulting firm Unique Places. It will be presented by Brian Chatham, conservationist with Watauga County Soil & Water Conservation District.
The meeting is at 6 p.m. in the Watauga County Administrative Complex in Boone. The draft is online at www.wataugacounty.org.
