The Mountain Times will not knowingly publish factually incorrect information. It is the responsibility of those using statistics or quotes in letters to cite their source of information. Letters containing undocumented statistical information will not be published.

Only letters written to The Mountain Times will be considered for publication, letters to a third party will not be considered for publication.

Letters written in response to other letter writers should note the date of publication and/ or title of the letter to which they are responding. Discourse should be civil and people should be referred to in a respectful manner. Letters responding to stories published in The Mountain Times should mention the headline and/or author.

All letters must be LEGIBLY handwritten or typed and must include the writer's name, home address and phone number (to be used for verification only, and will not be published.) Letters without all of this information will not be considered for publication.
